I remember the first time I played the Sands of Time like yesterday. It was early 2004 and I'd just bought a new Geforce graphics card and it came with two new Ubisoft games: Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow and Prince of Persia: the Sands of Time. I had played Splinter Cell before obviously, but I had no idea that a game called Sands of Time even existed (did Ubisoft market it at all?)
Nevertheless after installing and booting up the game I was instantly hooked. The visuals, the story and the characters just swooped me along and I must have finished the game twice in a span of a couple of days. I can't even remember the total completion count but I do know that even now I try to play the game at least once a year.
Besides Prince of Persia: the Sands of Time, some of my favorite games of all time are Knights of the Old Republic, Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30, Parasite Eve and Pokemon (Generations I to III).
